The Lodge.

Superb three bedroom family homes of 1071sq ft designed for the 21st century with low maintenance and low running costs.

Following a number of unsuccessful attempts by other developers to obtain planning permission for this site in Chatterton Village, Bromley, we unlocked it’s potential by creating a detached, fourth, corner house which was turned through 90 degrees to address the other street. This corner house was designed to reference the old park keepers lodge which was previously on the site, making a strong and visually attractive corner building which acknowledges the heritage of the area.

Whilst our planning application was supported by the planners, initially there was strong local opposition to the redevelopment. This resulted in councillors rejecting the planners advice and refusing the application at committee. Following a successful appeal, we began construction in 2017 and finished the development in January 2018.

Following completion a number of locals commented upon the fact that whilst they were initially opposed to the scheme, they loved the design and thought it improved the area. All four houses have three bedrooms and are well located for public transport with easy access to Chatterton Village shops. Additionally, they overlook the bowls green and park to the rear.
