Our success as a property development company is underpinned by the depth and breadth of experience of our directors.
MARK WATTS – RIBA
Mark Watts RIBA, Chief Executive, is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Company and oversees our developments; he also designs most of our projects.
Mark is a chartered architect who qualified in 1991. He has worked with many architectural practices in the UK and abroad, including the Terry Farrell Partnership. He ran his own architectural practice from 2000 – 2007, before joining Cedar Rydal.
Mark has a keen interest in environmental issues and the design of best practice homes and is a member of ‘The Green Register of Construction Professionals’. For ten years, he served on the Design Review Panel for the London Borough of Lewisham.
TED WATTS – HON DSC, FRICS
Ted Watts is the non-executive Chairman of our company; responsible with the assistance of the Managing Director and the Finance officer for maintaining and setting standards and strategic thinking.
Ted is a past President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and although his background is in commercial property, he has a keen interest in housing, including affordable housing and inner city regeneration.
Since starting his own business in 1967 (Watts & Partners) he has held several business and
professional appointments. He was a founder member and the first Chairman of the housing association that has evolved into The Hyde Group.
TERESA MAGATTI – FCA
Teresa Magatti FCA is the Company Finance Officer and is not only responsible for advising the directors on the financial health of the company, but also contributes to the preparation of development appraisals and the formation of marketing plans.
She has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales since 1984. Teresa has a keen interest in horticulture and gardening.
